BARBERSHOP BUILT IN 1920's

In 1978 the Barber Shop was donated by N. Roper and moved onto the site. This building was built in the late 1920’s and moved to mainstreet in early 1930’s and Stella Rimbey opened a ladies wear. Later on a hair salon was operated from this building then Mr. Tom Spinks took it over for a barbershop. The front room was used for business and the back room was added on to the original building in the late 1930’s and was living quarters for Mr. And Mrs. Spinks. Mr. Spinks barbered in this building until he retired in 1969 at the age of 82. At a later date some of Mr. Spink’s equipment was donated by his family including the barber chair. The front of the building is now set up as a barbershop with related artifacts and medical/dental artifacts in the back room.
